So I witnessed history while covering the Cotton 24 Hour Runway extravaganza. The show set the Guinness World Record for Longest Fashion Show ever! The runway kicked off November 7th, 8 pm EST to November 8th, 8 pm EST .E! Host Giuliana & husband Bill Ranic along with Jason Kennedy & Michael Yo kept the crowded entertained with their antics. Olivia Palermo also graced the stage & offered her fashion expertise. Miami native, Jason Derulo got the crowd pumped with his hit songs while models ripped the runway behind. The event featured appearances by Trey Smith, Fantine, D.J. Irie & Jamie Foxx.
The show featured over 1,440 cotton looks from 75 brands and proved that cotton is really the fabric of our lives. Every minute a model graced the catwalk with cotton looks that can be worn for any occasion even for a wedding. Of course the clothing was the main focus but hair & makeup was essential for the show, more than 50 hair and makeup artists pulled off beautiful looks. I was actually surprised to see fall & summer wear for the show. I liked that the looks can be worn from New York to Cali very versatile & comfortable for whatever climate you may be in.
Overall the show was a great place to get fashion inspiration for any occasion. Cotton’s “The Moments of Our Lives” theme, celebrated a different “cotton moment” each hour. The finale of the show displayed stylish looks for your next birthday party! As the models did their final walk, colorful balloons filled the stage to celebrate.
