Summer has finally come to an end. I can definitely say that summer 2016 was one of the best summers I have had in a long time. New York is one of those great places that sets the bar high for endless activities for all. Someone once said to me nothing beats NYC in the summertime. After thinking about it that statement couldn’t be any more true. Without further a do here are some of my top summer highlights.
1.Museum of Ice Cream
The pop up Museum of Ice Cream was the quintessential ice cream lover experience. I consider myself an ice cream connoisseur so this place was dream come true. Consider yourself lucky if you were able to experience this interactive treat because tickets were sold out instantly. The museum highlights included a sprinkle pool, chocolate room, edible balloons, and of course ice cream. This place was a must for a true ice cream experience.
2. Pinknic
The 1st annual Pinknic, held at Governor’s Island was dedicated to the love of Rosé. Everyone had to follow the dress code of either the color pink or white. All guest had the option to either purchase picnic baskets beforehand or bring their own. Rosé was available for purchase once everyone was settled on their pink PINKNIC blankets. Musical performances & DJ tunes echoed in the background.
3. Insta- Worthy Food
It is no secret that I am a foodie. I love all kinds of food whether it is sweet, salty, or spicy. You name I will try it. However, with me working out daily in summertime I often indulge in foods I don’t usually get in the colder months. Usually it is because I am too lazy to travel when it is cold. So this summer I made sure I hit all the spots I have been Instagram stalking these past couple of months.
4. Manhattan Plaza Health Club
Summer 2016 was easily one of the warmest summers I have ever experienced in my lifetime. With that being said I was craving to go to a nice pool in the city. Trust me it is much harder than people think until I stumbled upon this place. MPHC is mostly known for their gym facilities however there is so much that this place has to offer. For $40 you can experience the entire place all day. That means access to the sauna, rock climbing, gym, and of course the pool. I was so surprised that more people didn’t know about this place. The pool was amazing, super clean, & quiet. Arrive after 3:30 if you want to miss the kids session. Otherwise you can enjoy this spot as often as you like.
