96 Hours in Bermuda

DSC02269Since it is Friday I figure I would take you all back to my vacation to Bermuda back in December 2015 for my birthday. I make a big deal about my birthday every year probably because December is month that is overshadowed by Christmas and New Years Eve. Instead of a lavish party or an extravagant gift I like to create memories…so I vacation.

DSC02351This vacation was actually very last minute! I think my boyfriend and I booked the trip just two weeks before departure. The one good thing about vacationing in the beginning of December is that the prices are always great.

Another thing about Bermuda that I did not know is that is very close to the East Coast. From New York City it was less than a two-hour flight. I am very surprised that not many people have been to this magical island. I think it is because of the misconception that is very expensive. Bermuda is very affordable you just have to budget well.

DSC0227896 hours to me was not even enough to enjoy the island because there is so much to see. However, I do have a list of must do things while you are visiting to get the most out of your trip.

1.Horseshoe Bay Beach: This beach was a MUST on my list to do. My favorite color is PINK so I just had to see the PINK sand there. Let me warn you it is not hot pink like some of the pictures I have seen on Instagram. It is more of a salmon/coral color. It is very beautiful and looks pinker when it is wet. The water is just as gorgeous as the sand, very clear and turquoise blue color. The beach has plenty of rocks and hidden caves that are awesome for a photo shoot. If I had to choose one beach to visit this will definitely be it.

2 .City of Hamilton : The City is very small but that is what I loved most about it. Everyone knows everybody type of feel. Hamilton is where the action is: food, shopping, and nightlife. I suggest if you could anything while in Bermuda please order a Bermuda Lobster! It was by far the best lobster I have ever had.

3. Crystal Caves : Every vacation I take I try to do one activity that is both historical and educational. I actually didn’t make it to see the caves however the great part was that it was located in our hotel. So we caught just a glimpse of this great natural wonder. Definitely will have to do a tour once I return back to the island.

4. Glass Bottom Boat tours-This is another activity that I did not get to do, but it is on my list for next time I do visit. I think this a great tour to do to see the entire island. The best part is the glass bottom floor so you can see the gorgeous marine life.

Of course there is more to the island than just my list, but if your time happens to be limited like mine was then this will be great help. As they say in BermudaLive the Life Bermudaful.
