So I am super thrilled to share this news with my readers. Next week I will be taking my talents to South Beach lol for the 24 Hour Cotton Runway Show in Miami. The world’s longest fashion show will take place November 7- 8. I was invited by Beauty Director, De Shawn Hatcher to be one of the bloggers for this great event, and I couldn’t be more excited. This event will be open to the public, but will also streamed live for those who don’t live there. I honestly never heard of the show until I was presented with the opportunity. However, now that I do know about it I am looking forward to being in the midst of the fashion & beauty madness.
I have been to many New York Fashion Week shows but it doesn’t compare to the production for this show. In the span of 24 hours the show produces 1440 fashionable runway & 200 hair and makeup looks as well. Most runway shows are very quick but this will truly be nothing like I have seen before. This year the host are none other than E!’ s Giuliana and Bill Rancic & Jason Kennedy. Also there will be a surprise musical performance and lots of celebrities as well. I think it is important to remember that for most fashion shows we always tend to just mention the clothing aspect only. Beauty is so vital when it comes to pulling any look together. It sets the tone on how the models will demonstrate the clothes. Without great makeup & hair the models would just be walking mannequins. would love to see lots of color & print trends since the show is taking place in such a tropical climate. As far as makeup looks go I predict warm neon tones for lips and eyes, and hair I think should be full of volume.
